- Contains the largest trail system in the nation with 2,000 miles of hiking trails

Winter activities are as plentiful as summer: We Enjoy Excellent Down hill Skiing at Royal Mt in Caroga Lake,
Fantastic XC skiing at Lapland Lake in Benson, Snowshoeing on any of our miles of hiking trails. Ice fishing, ice games & races are popular and Snowmobiles are welcome throughout our county! Major Corridor trail "Route 8" runs thru this portion of NYS allowing snowmobiles access to just about anywhere in the State!
